Repairing A System With Slow Boot Up

A computer’s overall performance decreases with time. They begin to lose memory and basically slow down. After a while, the system may even crash unnecessarily. The reason behind this is the data you uploaded into the hard drive. When we upload data, the various programs and applications take up space and exploit the resources. A slow computer is hard to operate, and takes up lot of time to process. But this phenomenon is quite usual, and just needs some simple tweaking. In most cases, it is the startup process that creates issues. Let us see some simple steps to resolve this situation.
Instructions to resolve the startup troubles
  • Before jumpstarting the troubleshooting process, you need to disable all the startup applications and processes. As you already know, these programs start automatically when you turn in the computer.
  • Installing a number of startup issues may lead to the over consumption if resources. Navigate to the menu labeled Start. Click on it to open a list of options.
  • From this list, select the option that is labeled as Run. The Run window is displayed immediately.
  • Enter the command msconfig in to the box and press the Enter button. Select the tab labeled Startup to advance to the next step. Simply unmark the name of the processes you do not wish to startup automatically.
  • Select the button labeled OK to proceed to the next step. Verify all the other programs that are set to start automatically. Do not skip any program unless you are absolutely positive that it is safe.
  • Click on the button labeled Start. This will display a list of options. From the new list, select the button labeled All Programs.
  • This will display a new list with the names of all programs. You can now see a folder labeled Startup. You can view all the programs that are set to automatically start.
  • Do not try to remove the shortcuts in this folder. This will not do any good. You need to access the applications directly. On the other hand, you need to change the settings. If you don’t want the program, you can remove it.
A slow computer is hard to operate and eats up most of your precious time. Please follow the instructions given in the article to resolve this situation.
